    See subject line & this page:

    :)

    (Something neat to checkout I suppose, have @ it!)

    * Thoughts/opinions/experiences?

    Mine would be on the #2, #55, & #92 items on the list!

    Between all 3? My system performance (especially in gaming & even in SETI@Home) shot thru the roof... & that's NO JOKE either!

    Especially when compared to my older rig (P4 3.2ghz & GeForce 6800 GT OC)... glad to have joined (actually, rejoined) the AMD fold once more!

    (Last time was in 1998-1999, AMD K6-III @ 450mhz)

    * No questions asked, I cannot complain this round: I am a "happy boy" here on those accounts!

    You made me "rescan" the lists, glad I did, almost missed one.

    :)

    * I added it...

    APK

    P.S.=> I only "went @ it", hardware-wise, but software-wise I would suppose I have a few more, but not 10 of them... compliments to your buying skills then & assessments prior to buying then. I figure you can't go TOO far wrong when you hit on that many of the items on said lists as you have... apk

    Well to be honest most of the 10 things are free software like Firefox, not too many purchases!

    Love FREEWARE myself

    FireFox is an excellent webbrowser, no doubt about it (I even helped them find & fix a bug a few years back)... but, I am an "Opera man", because it is free as well!

    :)

    * Some of the BEST software out there IS freeware imo & those 2 webbrowsers are examples thereof, so I agree with you!

    I was choosing between Firefox, Opera and IE when I made my decision which to use... IE came last with no features, but the main reason I chose Firefox is because Opera had the ad banner at the time. Other than that it seemed great, but I can't be bothered to switch back now that the banner has been removed. :)

    Wish I knew you guys then, because it was VERY simple to pull the banner:

    ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS ADD THE ADBANNER SERVERNAMES TO YOUR HOSTS FILE, (with them equated to 127.0.0.1 or 0.0.0.0) & the banner ads no longer appeared. That, & create a "blank" photo for the existing default banner (by using ANY photo tool's "erase" brush tool, like PaintShop Pro's) replacing the original, & poof - it was GONE!

    To get what the IP addresses of those banner ad servers are, OR their URL's for that? While your adbanner ware program is running, you use netstat -ano (or netstat -an) to display that info.!

    (That's how you "defeat" banner-ad ware)

    :)
