Looks good I will buy this and Diablo 3. I love games like this. Definitely see the polish and quality there already.

So, anyone else drooling over an anticipated release before the end of the year??? Between this and Skyrim, I won't sleep for weeks :)

I have HIGH hopes for this game. One thing that I really like about the developers is that they included LAN play. In fact I think if TorchLight and GrimDawn play their cards right they could be even better than DIII. I know DIII has tons of hype but it also has DRM, No LAN PLay, Online Connection Required, No level editor and no community mod support.

I know a lot of old school gamers and we are all excited about these 2 games more than DIII.

Skyrim is in a world of it's own, being a single player, but yeah Im gonna dump some major time in that game as well.

Are you sure the other 2 games will have what DIII doesn't?
I liked grimdawn yet the lightning storms in the game bothered me a bit much. Too much flashing.

No, not 100%. Only what I have read on their sites/forums. I am positive about LAN, DRM and Community MOD parts though. But until they actually release it...

I think it's pretty straight forward. D3 has not LAN play. TL2 does. D3 has a pretty restrictive DRM. TL2 won't. D3 has no mod support, TL2's mod community is openly encouraged by the developers. D3 will cost upwards of $50. TL2, less than $25.

I'd say the bases are pretty well covered. And what TL2 lacks in depth (and honestly, in playing Torchlight, I had TONS of fun going through all the loot, and the mindless kill kill kill!! ), Skyrim will make D3 look like a kindergarten primer.

I'll stick with TL2 and Skyrim, thanks :toast:

Looks good. I liked the first one, but definitely a Diablo fan here (not that they are mutually exclusive). More looking forward to Trine 2 than this, though. I had more fun playing Trine than Torchlight by far.
