Toshiba UK today expands its range of high-performance Satellite P-series laptops with the launch of the Satellite P845. Building on the P series’ premium design and power, it now features an Intel Core ultra-low voltage (ULV) processor – delivering more efficient power consumption and a longer battery life.

Perfect for movie enthusiasts, gamers, photographers or video editors looking for a portable laptop without compromising on performance, the Satellite P845 also lets users interact with games and multimedia content in a new way, using the highly responsive 35.6cm (14”) capacitive touchscreen.

    Super screen
With a high-resolution 35.6cm (14”) TruBrite screen, the Satellite P845 displays images, websites, HD video content and the latest games with incredible clarity and sharpness – accurately replicating colour and contrast, and ensuring fast paced motion from videos or games is smooth. The capacitive touchscreen allows users to swipe, drag documents between folders, pinch to zoom in and out of pictures, or select applications by tapping the screen. With multi-finger support, the screen allows for more complex gestures – giving gamers multiple interactive possibilities when playing the latest titles.

    Exceptional efficiency
Featuring a 3rd generation Intel Core ultra-low voltage processor, the Satellite P845 combines fast, responsive processing with more efficient power consumption – allowing for a longer battery life of up to seven hours. Additionally, with optional dedicated NVIDIA GeForce processing renders images and graphics quickly and with striking detail, while NVIDIA Optimus technology adjusts graphics performance based on usage, to deliver the best possible battery life. A dedicated Eco Utility button above the keyboard also opens Toshiba’s power management application, allowing users to monitor power consumption and adjust settings to suit their needs.

    Stunning sound
The latest technology ensures the Satellite P845 is equipped to provide an incredible audio experience. Stereo speakers designed by audio specialist harman/kardon combine with SRS Premium Sound 3D enhancement to provide stunning laptop sound, whether it be dialogue in a movie, deep bass or high pitched frequencies. Additionally, Slip Stream technology minimises distortion from bass frequencies, even when played at high volumes – perfect for enjoying blockbuster movies on Blu-ray, music or games – without the need for external speaker systems.

    Dazzling Design
Keeping in line with Toshiba’s current Satellite P-series laptops, the Satellite P845 features a robust aluminium chassis with a stylish textured design. The silver finish is enhanced with chrome accents around the large trackpad and speaker grilles, as well as loss black keys on the large full sized keyboard, giving it a premium feel.
