TPU a business?

No thanks I like working on PC's but the reason i left best buy is because i hated working on them. I would hate turning a hobby into a job it takes the fun out of it. After repairing/setting up 30+ Pc's a day i remember comming home and i wouldnt even want to look at my system let alone work on it.

lets say this is a good idea,

first thing TPU can start by making softwares. TPU can have its own software research facility.

then TPU can set up service centers all around the world. since TPU has links with companies, this will be great idea, as these can be company certified service centers.

after that maybe TPU can get to manufacturing hardware. best place to start, i think is building cases. Cases should be customisable when being bought.(if ideas for cases are needed, im there!!)

Then TPU can move on to the PSU market. its definitely best to start with quality ones(though costly) because if we start cheap it will hamper the company image.

then... the sky is the limit.

PS..i am really good at strategies....

If TPU manufactured its own hardware, its credibility as an impartial review site would be greatly diminished.

I would like to see a TPU store, though. You know, T-Shirt, coffee mugs, can coolers, etc. etc.
A member was doing T-Shirts at one time, but I do not know what happened to that.

My self Working as a computer technician now :toast:

Know that selling modded stuff at a certain extent, wont appeal to the mass crowd that much.

Issue's:

*You would have to get advertising out on the internet on a wide scale.
*TPU would need its own ware house and work facility.
*Wizzard would have to take on even MORE responsibility for the site, and even co-direct the actual business, making calls, clarifying, offering warranty, business license's, then hiring people and managing. Thats alot of dam work.

*MODDING PARTS IS NICE, BUT REALLY FLAKEY BECAUSE OF EXTRA COST, LOW PRODUCT APPEAL, AND WERE THE HELL IS THE WARRENTY.

*There might be to much demand and people that are willing to help work and get pay and have the TIME to work might not be able to keep up.

Its a bad idea.

And there are more cons to that list for sure.

ye i know what you mean, when i get called to my families pc's i can't stand being at my pc after hours at theirs
although i don't spend much time on it anyway as i get migraines :cry:

i think it's a good idea, tech support could be done via the forum as well
i think you would have to realize an isolated section of the forum dedicated just for that

But TPU is like a business...people come here with their problems people that have been there done that help em and see what they bought and in turn buy the same stuff which btw gets advertised here and thus TPU makes some money
