TPU has made my life better...

Some time ago I followed up on a post link here for the Microsoft WFP and got Vista Ultimate 32 and 64 for free. I called my Mom that same night and insisted she sign up (she was going to put it off until the morning) and she also got Vista Ultimate 32/64 for free and is running them both on her 2 rigs. The very next day after we signed up the freebie deal was pulled. At the time a combined $800+ retail value. DANG! :rockout:

The excellent ATi tool has given me many more smiles with my ATi gpu's.

TPU has giving me more game patches faster and sooner then any other site.

TPU is a well needed haven for my closet geek. It does not have the BS that can be found at other forums I visit.

I imagine I could go on with how TPU has made my life better, but I would like to hear how TPU has made others lives better.

(Thank you W1zzard for a site like no other!)

    it made my wallet lighter...
It freed me from the chains of ignorance, it taught me so much about computers... and this is by far the nicest forum on fricken earth. With nice crazy people in it.
And if you ask a question, it will be answered. Fast.
    WOOKZ says thanks.

TPU has given an old man like me, with 30 years in the IT/Programming field, a great place to come and share my knowledge and experience with others.
There are other places, but none like TPU. :toast:

Plus I get to be on the Hit Squad. lol

Yes, W1zz recruited me so that right before its "lights out" for the target, I could try to convince them that the person was worthy of a second chance and did not require to be removed with extreme measures.
So far it has never worked.
    Just so you know ;)

The fact that I can post the above and it actually makes sense to people is another reason to appreciate TPU. lol

TPU is great because it is a tight knit community. Lots of members here started out pretty young, and now the forum has had time to mature. Trust me, I have seen it. We rarely have flame wars and other problems now.

TPU has also made things better for me. It gives me a chance to share my knowledge about WCG with others, as well as giving me a place to chat with other computer enthusiasts.

The community is as good as the users make it and thankfully this community of users can spot the bullshit from the good stuff pretty easily and thank god for that ;)

Also the fact there is always someone to help you no matter how many times the question has been asked (never get those annoying use google or use the search function of the forum) or however stupid it really is they never make you feel like it was stupid to ask. Although sometimes people in general can be pretty stubborn but ill put that down to cockyness

There are other places but where is it so accepting of a mash of different people? where can you find a place full of casual and hardcore users in harmony? tpu obviously.

EDIT: In real life, i have arguments with my friend about how a decent midrange case is infinitely better for gaming, mid range hardware and heavy use than a crappy £20 case! but on here i never get any of that. I never get "oh so what can it play?" "all i want is a pc that can play games on full settings" god that annoys me to no end! A 1080i tv is also not a good main monitor but hell what do i know!

i agree because you know is like everyone understands each other here....someone with like a phase changed i7 with 12GB of ram and 1TB worth of raided SSd's can congradulate someone on their very first build thats a 3600+brisbane an 80GB WD and a 7600GT with 2GB of nanya. and they can do it without being like omg that system blows you should have saved up $10,000 more dollers and gotten this..ya know its like everyone gets what it is to be in someone elses shoes...which imo is because in the computer world even though so much can be diffirent everyone started in the same place.
