Could you list the source (input) options you have for the TV please.

it would seem that there is a common trend with the 8800GTX connecting to a Tv but most seem to overcome it although DVi > HDMI seems the most common way, take a look at this, it might give you a couple of idea's to try, especially towards the bottom of page..............

What? There should be one that says VGA or PC...look at the HDTV manual to see what equal the PC.

Nope - Doesnt say VGA or PC.

On the back of the TV it states that the RGB is for the PC. When I plug the cable in - The RGB must recognise it as its logo is highlighted.

I've selected the RBG but it just comes up as no signal.

Lower your resolution then or make it what the HDTV's resolution is.



If that doesnt work I recmend switching to HDMI. Get the VGA to HDMI cable.Cheapest you can find which will be online!

I've lowed my resolution to the lowest (800 x 600) and still no luck. I havent included the audio jacks but surely that wouldn't stop a signal?

Could it be the fact that im going from a VGA connection through a converter to a DVi

Well doesn't your card have to DVI connections and NO VGA? VGA has 15 pins and looks like the RGB on your monitor. AND DVI has a lot of pins and they are flat pins not round.???????????????

Yes when using DVI which is what your card has you have to use the HDMI connection.



AND IT CALLS OUT HDMI 1

What i've currently got is two female DVI connections on the graphics card with a AVi male connector in the TV. So i bought an adapter to change the DVi to AVi.

But looking at the image you just posted - I'll need a HDMI connection instead....

I not sure what AVi is but you need DVI to HDMI.

SYBA 6 ft. DVI-D Male to HDMI Male Cable, Gold Pla...

Stay clear from AVi as thats not how the manual states to use a PC on that HDTV.!

Your manual says>> AV1, AV2, AV3 : Select it when watching the
VCR or external equipment

NOPE it wont work.

The manual states DVI goes to HDMI 1 on your HDTV.:toast:

If your card had a VGA then you could use VGA on the HDTV but your card has DVI so you have to use the HDMI 1 on your HDTV.
