TYAN, an industry-leading server platform manufacturer and subsidiary of MiTAC International Corp., announces 8 cutting-edge platforms based on the Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 product family. These platforms are designed to deliver the benefits of Intel’s latest processor architecture. They offer high peak performance along with outstanding power efficiency and are designed for today’s HPC/GPU and general server applications. These products help channel customers build solutions for applications ranging from the largest data centers all the way down to the smallest server room implementations in a quick and efficient way.

TYAN’s full array of 8 Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 product family-based platforms help users build systems that both increase IT capacity and reduce the total IT cost of ownership. TYAN’s Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 product family-based platform portfolio includes 5 motherboards and 3 barebones systems that meet demands ranging from general small business computing to mission-critical applications such as virtualization or GPGPU. TYAN motherboards such as the S7050, S7055, or S7056, and barebones servers such as the GN70-B7056, FT48-B7055 and FT77-B7059, help customers address mission critical and massive workload requirements found in GPGPU and HPC applications. For memory intensive applications such as virtualization, TYAN presents the S7052 motherboard with a total of 24 DIMM slots. The S7053 is an excellent choice for applications requiring multiple expansion slots such as embedded and automation.

“The Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 product family delivers leadership performance, exceptional energy efficiency, breakthrough I/O innovation and trusted hardware security features to enable IT to scale infrastructure to meet growing demands,” said Dylan Larson, Director of Marketing for Intel's Datacenter Infrastructure Group. “With the new Intel Xeon processors, Tyan’s broad range of platforms addresses the diverse and ever increasing workload requirements that customers face."

For Data Center and High Performance Computing, TYAN offers three dual-socket motherboards and two 4U system solutions that support the latest Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 product family. The FT77-B7059 barebones server features support for (2) Intel Xeon processors, (8) PCI-E x16 G3 slots with support for up to (8) GPU cards and (1) QDR Infiniband in a 4U system, which makes it a powerful platform for GPU computing solutions. The FT48-B7055 barebones server supports (2) Intel Xeon processors, (4) PCI-E x16 G3 slots, (2) 10GbE ports and (1) GbE ports inside a 4U chassis that delivers greater computing capacity without any redundant deployment inside the server. For customers looking for entry level GPU application, the TYAN GN70-B7056 barebones supports (2) Intel Xeon processors, (2) PCI-E x16 G3 slots, (2) 10G GbE ports and (1) GbE ports and is one of the most cost-effective GPU solutions on the market.

TYAN’s S7050 motherboard targets virtualization, traditional rack sever applications, and GPU computing. It supports (2) Intel Xeon processors, (8+8) DDR-III R/U-DIMM, (2) PCI-E x16 G3 slots and (4) GbE ports. The S7055 is an ideal platform for GPU, datacenter, or HPC applications and features support for (2) Intel Xeon processors, (4+4) DDR-III R/U-DIMM slots, (4) PCI-E x16 G3 slots and (2) 10G GbE ports. TYAN’s S7056 is a rack-optimized server motherboard design and supports (2) Intel Xeon processors, (8+8) DDR-III R/U-DIMM slots, (2) PCI-E x16 G3 slots and (2) 10G GbE ports.

TYAN’s S7052 is an ideal platform for virtualization because of the large memory footprint available on the motherboard. It supports (2) Intel Xeon processors, (12+12) DDR-III R/U-DIMM, (3) PCI-E x8 slots, (1) PCI-E x4 slot and (4) GbE ports. With support for (2) Intel Xeon processors, (8+8) DDR-III R/U-DIMM, (2) PCI-E x16 G3 slots, (2) PCI-E x8 slots, (1) PCI-E x4 slot (4) GbE ports and (1) LSI SAS2308 Chipset, the TYAN S7053 is a perfect solution for embedded and IPC applications.

Almost makes me want my server to go out so I have to replace it. XD

That's wishful thinking though. It'll probably keep running another 5 years at least. :(
