No, I seem to only get offered gts 260s

Or people from the states asking about it, and obviously that's not thesable due to 61 pence to a dollar bill.

    Yes I'm interested.

I'm just checking Asus site to see if they would be ok to use with my old Asus P5B...

Would they work if they're not officially supported? :ohwell:

  6. InTeL-iNsIdE Guest

Erm they're ddr3 :ohwell: :slap:

    Thanks, I didn't know that.

Thanks fellow panther. I actually want to buy 3 sticks 2GB each of ddr2 to maximise all 4 slots of my mobo. I only got one 2GB stick left, because I gave one to my brother when I built his rig to put him at 3GB total, and another one I put in a work pc to replace a failed ram.

Its would be best to get a 4x set then, that way you'll run in dual channel ram mode, if you mix and match ram you loose this speed boost : ]

and sell or give away your remaining stick of course.

  14. InTeL-iNsIdE Guest

She can just grab 3 sticks of the same rated ram and it will run in dual channel just fine, tho its going to be easier to buy 4x sticks of ddr2

I thought the memory chips had to be the same.

  16. InTeL-iNsIdE Guest

No, infact even if they're not the same speed the motherboard will just clock them to the lowest rated sticks speed, it used to be an issue with older setups and ddr 1 mainly tho not any more, you can mix and match most rams without issues
