Hi guys. Really hope you can give some good advice. Looking to make up my first intel rig having sold the rig in my specs left. Basically I have a £400 budget and I'm an out and out gamer who wants a gaming rig which will give me great performance. At this stage I'm more interested in the basics being solid (IE Motherboard and processor) and maybe sacrificing graphics power and then getting a nicer graphics card at maybe chrimbo...I only game at 1280x1024 so shouldnt be too much of a problem eh. So , yeh, remembering I'm in the UK suggest some possible rigs please :)

Yea if this is just the bones then it shouldn't be too bad.

A nice P35 with an E8xxx should suffice, and then maybe keep your 4850 if you haven't already sold it.
