ok so i have been looking into water blocks an tec water blocks and this chilltec does any one have a chilltec if so how good is it. i hear that its amaizing at keeping the cpu at room ambient temp at all times even during high overclocks. i have had water cooling and air but i am always looking for more portablility. i want to get this but i have had so much luck with water i might just make a unit. any one had experience with the chilltec

I also have a question to someone who has or knows about this cooler. Can the mounts for AMD sockets be mounted either way? Can the cooler be mounted both vertically and horizontally? I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Well I can say for sure that this HSF is the best ever ! I have it and love it .
Idle my CPU is 30-32c fully loaded at current speeds I have seen them load temps go to 60c .
I have also run the HSF at stock CPU Vcore and speed and well when I do this I get nothing higher than 40c loaded !
I think if you have water cooling then stay with it . but if you want the best air cooling can give this is it .
The Ultra Chiltech CPU cooler is the best ever !

It has never messed with me on any of my mobo's . AMD or Intel so yes It will not affect memory and should be just fine .

Mine did not need to be lapped as it is very smooth and shines like the sun LOL .
Once you get it just be very careful of the sensor wires . be very careful not to move them around much at all once they break off it is game over and you have to RMA it . I messed around with mine so much the wires broke off and I had to RMA it and while it is fine now I will never move it around that much again .

my home is at 70f right now . when the room is 80f I get the same temps .

As far as updating specs I don't know . I see it says I am at 3.6 GHz but that is not a big deal for me .

I have the monsoon vigorII I think they are the same sure look the same only issue is the fan and tec cycling is noisey but 79 to 82 f during august in houston well worth it

Got that right . it could use a 80w - 120w peltier in it though . I have been thinking about changing mine to a 80w myself .

If I can find out if that beauty fits onto a Socket 754.. I'll start saving $$ and buy one.
What's the price on the market for one like that? (If anyone know's the price in €uro it would be good, or even a re-seller located say in Germany or closer).
