The Ultra X-Blaster is a midi tower ATX case with a lot of potential. It may sport a small price tag, making the buy an easy one, but certainly does not disappoint. The case is quite sturdy, features drive rails for easy installation as well as a screwless setup for expansion cards. The included 400W XVS FlexForce modular power supply is a great addition, making this case the perfect allrounder for anyone looking to build their own system.

Finally, ultra builds something of quality. (I dont know much about the Modular power supplies, the first wave had a bad rep) Im glad they do something right.

the first batch was great, but there last batch on the first modular based psu was crap due to a switch in OEM parts.

I do like Ultra Steal Cases...they are very thick, strong, and have a very nice paint job.

ditto. the ultra x-connects were crap. i know plenty of ppl where the psu blew up, or blew up and took the rest of the system with it. lets hope they dont follow that trend.

That power supply doesn't sound very good at all. I don't think anybody that actually knows what they're talking about could recommend it.

20a on a single +12v rail? Remember that Wattage = Amps * Volts. It's just another crappy power supply that just happens to be bundled with a case. I'm sure with Ultra's build quality, that it wouldn't last very long at all.

The case looks pretty decent though...

Well 20A on a single rail is fine considering that it can ALMOST power a 7900GTX. There are 400W power supplies out there with 17/18A on a single 12V rail. while other 400W may have more, those are only ones that can be bought seperately.

This PSU will power a system which does not use anything like a 7900GTX, something like a GS or lower will work with this PSU. I am sure, if you spend the money on a new system with a 7900GTX or higher, you would make sure to buy a seperate power supply along with a case without PSU. Anyone having a mainstream system with a fairly high end card will be served fine with this combo.

Please do not forget the price tag, what kind of Case/PSU combo do you expect for 90 Dollars?

1. Why cheap? look at the other case/PSU combos for 90 Dollars...nothing modular and 20A for 400W is fine (nothing bad, nothing good). The price is right for what you get.
2. If you do not want the PSU, you can also buy the case without the PSU for a mere 50 Dollars - good as well...

dont mean to be picky, but why not use a full size atx motherboard in case reviews, most people have these, and it would give a better impression of the room inside the case, at first glance this looked quite roomy, until i noticed thats one of those skinny atx boards

point taken :) I will try to use fullATX boards for future reviews if possible. I have been using this mainboard for most reviews, thus it is constant.
