Just when I started being interested in Audio, I didn't care what TPU reviews said about phones because I thought that it's some computer guy reviewing them. But once I found out that Frederik is a fellow head-fier, I felt a lot safer.

    Trust Federik!

And thank you for the review

Great review, Frederik (I'll see you around Head-Fi :)). I have the same Headphone/Amp combo but with a Mullard tube and am loving it. Now my upgraditis is telling me to get a DAC...

$400 on headphones will last me a lot longer than a $400 video card will. You'll not question the price when you purchase high end headphones and hear the difference for yourself. I think Guitar Center is supposed to carry Ultrasone and some other companies' headphones to audition, and might have the PRO900.

Ahhh, don't even bother telling the mortal about audiophilism :D
Although I'm a novice audiophile, I still value the price of good sound.

It's listed $599 on its website. Wonder where I can get it for $400.

They are a friggin steal at $340 compared to most of the other high end headphones if you are into rock, pop, electronica, and other bass intensive types of music that also requires a good midrange presentation.
