I recently upgraded one of my Xp rigs to Win 7, and i did a clean install [custom install > full] but gave me an option to install Win 7 on my secondary HDD which i did, but now i just want to go back XP since i don't really need win 7 on that rig. Weird thing is that when i boot [from my XP HDD, as selected by BIOS] I get the option to choose either OS, even though the Win 7 OS is on the other HDD.

    Quick question:
How could I uninstall Win 7 from my secondary HDD, without affecting my primary HDD, since [i think] some of the Boot files of Win 7 are on my Primary [XP] HDD.

-New to 2 OS'es on one machine

If I understand you correctly you're dual booting Win7 and XP on separate HDDs.

The option to boot Win7 is only written in a few lines of the boot.ini of the system and hasn't really changed much on the XP system itself. This article from Microsoft explains how you can edit the boot.ini to remove the option and boot records for the Win7 OS.

Alternatively you can disconnect the Win7 HDD and load the XP recovery console via the XP disk. Once loaded you can run a FIXMBR on the XP HDD to restore the default boot config and eliminate the Win7 boot option. You will then be able to format the Win7 HDD via the MMC -> storage snap in. More info here (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/.../proddocs/en-us/bootcons_fixmbr.mspx?mfr=true)
