Are you trying to flash the BIOS on a MB or a Video Card?

i just did mine about 2 weeks ago, and used the Asus BIOS updater( its called something like that runs on Windows) I downloaded the latest copy of the update program, ( I am at work so I can't give you what version I used) then downloaded the BIOS to my desktop, opened it and drug the file intothe updater and ran it.....was a piece of cake. Just make sure you have no programs running, and your antivirus and firewall are also off.

The auto update has gotten a lot of flack, but worked like a charm for me.
