Upgrade for a friend..Please help

    Soo..My friend wants to upgrade his old athlon 64 x2 6000+ to this:

    Intel Core 2 Duo e6750 2.6 ghz that can easily overclock above 3 ghz
    DQ35JOE Motherboard
    4gb ram
    Gts 450

    Now,he wants to know if that can play black ops 2 high settings or bf3 on low settings.
    And no he does not want something else because he is getting all of that for $100

    Yeah, it should work.... Granted he's not using an insanely high resolution monitor or anything.

    In all fairness it isn't much of an upgrade, a side grade.

    The Athlon 64 X2 6000+ and the E6750 are in the same bracket of performance. Granted the Intel would edge the performance but not enough to justify changing sockets. I would keep the Athlon 64 X2 and overclock it about 200-300 MHz above base and it'll match the e6750 at stock. Maybe drop in a Phenom II X4 if the board supports it.
