Im not super clear on what im going to do in the next week, but ill probably be blowing half my paycheck and birthday money on a card once I get it.

I have a GTX 260 right now, But I want a card and here are the requirements. My psu can power anything so.

I want to get 25,000 3dmark06 or more and ill be over-clocking the card(3dmark whore)

I want it to boost performance from my GTX 260 in games by 25% or more at least stock clocked

and it has to be DX11,

Now I will reinstall windows, fresh install, and start playing with the card once I get it.

Im going to overclock and find a clock that will be good for 24/7 use, I have extreme aircooling, Antec 902 case with fans flared up full speed with some mods, and even more antec spot cool fans so im good in that department to.

I believe the card fitting this profile is the GTX 460 1gb and Im headed toward the Zotac card or EVGA's card because I dont like the funky shit heatsinks on the rest of the cards.

Anybody agree with me? and Can you find a deal with any Zotac-evga GTX 460 1gb model?

Yeah that 460 is pretty much the only one I could find that would fit the description. Also have you considered getting 2 for SLI or using your GTX260 in physX to get 25k.

I got 21,825 alone benching my 260 like a true clocker.

Ill slam 850core + on that GTX 460.

tone down my ram on the clocks
bench 4.4Ghz like i did last time.

    I bet ill get it.

    ***EDIT*** and Barbaric
If you Install Windows XP 32-bit
Cancel all UN-necessary processes taking up ram and processor.
Over-clock that q9650 to 4.4-4.3Ghz with solid low timings on the ram
Clock the HD 5870 up some with some voltage control and monitoring the temps.

and that-ll surpass is easy :)

HD5850, I get 25,500 points but with the GPU at 1035mhz and my i7 @ 4.2gig. otherwise maybe two 5770's. AT 900MHZ on a 460 with an I7 at 4.3gig I think I read that one hit about 25,200, not sure though so you may be cutting it fine on that front. I got 22,070 with a GTX260 and Q9650 at 4.410 :) GPU was at 800mhz tho.

you will need to seriously push that to get 25000+ I would go for the solid GTX470 for the guaranteed 25000+
