    Hey all,

My mom's computer is a store-bought HP with a radeon 4350 and only a 300 watt psu. It's an HP e9000 I didn't notice a 6 pin power connector but there are extra molex ones that could convert to 6 pin if needed.

The reason for upgrading is that Assassin's Creed 1 and 2 are shutting the computer down and windows index is rating the gpu at a 4.2 and the games recommend a 5.5. What would you all recommend staying in those parameters of 300 watt psu, not ultra long to fit in the case, and preferably in the $50 range.

Probably best off getting a more capable PSU and a 5770 would most likely be the best option I'm afraid. Quite possibly a GTX430 or 5550 would work in those power constraints but I wouldn't risk it.

Would Buck's gts 250 fit the bill for it? It's $55 so within budget and the psu calculators list the 300watt right around the recommended. But I agree, a better PSU would definitely be the way to go unfortunately lol.

It will probably work but like I said the psu could be very cheaply made and give out under strain.
