    Hi all

I just have a quick question, now that I have 6 Gig of RAM in my system, do I still need a page file?

    Windows 7 x64

80 gig HDD and 15.5gig free.

Yes. Windows expects and needs a page file, as do many programs. You could try to create a ramdisk and put your pagefile on that if you want to squeeze out performance, but chances are you won't notice any difference.

Yes, some programs and applications require a pagefile.

Turning off the pagefile is not recommended. Set a static amount. 2GB is enough.
