I have a dilemma. I can upgrade my CPU now, I was thinking a 4200+ X2 (the low power kind)

Or I can wait for K8L / Quad Core / etc.

What should I do?

Personally, I would OC the 3800 and wait until the quad core comes out. It should drop the X2's in price.

lol... im not laughing at u, nor am i saying that K8L wont be greater because that would only start a useless flame war without any data to back it up. from what we do know. the new k8l architecture isnt going to come out till 2008, therefore leaving us with the question of not just performance but performance versus time released. if u are happy with ur system now, then wait till k8l. however from the few pics of the architecture and the many discussions ive seen regarding the topic over on xs, the performance will not be much better. therefore i opted to get a conroe (well allendale) now, its all a matter of what best fits ur needs.
