Hmm their 6970 sample shows 1600 shaders, and their 6950 1440. Old version GPUZ perhaps?

Why didn't they use a 2Gb 5870? I guess since they only tested @ 1920x1080 it really doesn't matter much.

Thank you for posting what was a collosal waste of my time. We know they have some issues with the cards, its not like its news. that review is absolutely freaking horrid to look at.

If they spent more time with text and a bit less on the fancy graphics, I might be inclined to read the whole thing. That website is horrid for inteligability.

I see a 50/50 split between the 570 and the 6970(in that "review"). Which is right where ATI/AMD places it. Can't go wrong with either one. I personally dislike Nvidia as a company (too bad, because their hardware is good - but so is ATI/AMD's), so it will be ATI for me.

    i personally upgraded from a 5870@1000mhz core to a 6970@930mhz core...

i have to recommend the upgrade as my games just seem far smother and the iq seems far better....

the card just eats battlefield bad company2.
even if the benchmarks only show a marginal increase from the 5870 to the 6970, for me it feels like a big improvement...

    6950 and overclock it, it's a undercover 6970 really.
