I have an msi gaming 5 z97 mobo
2x hdds (500gb) in raid 0
1x kingston ssd (64gb) which contains my windows 7 install.
I just sold my computer to a friend and somehow now he can'T boot.
He gets a black screen RIGHT after he boots up the computer with the A2 code at the bottom right.
He's got my PC connected to a HDTV through hdmi btw.
We tried disconnecting the HDDs and boot with only the SSD and we did the opposite as well.
Still the same boot with a2 message.
To enter the bios, we press delete, but all we get is a black screen... but this time with NO a2 message... with nothing else showing on screen afterwards ever...
mystified here. any tips?
we're able to boot from the windows 7 dvd and install windows on one of the HDDs but we just can't enter the bios...
which would allow me to SET THE BOOT order in the proper sequence... since the windows install is on the SSD it needs to start with the SSD... (right now I suspect it searches for the windows install on the HDDs which don'T have it of course)
