Urgent, sadly: need advice for monitor, since-

The ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q I bought is showing itself as a HORRIBLE choice. I do Gaming but also Editing and I CAN'T understand WHY this piece of hardware has so washed out colors, it's like the gamma has been put to 10, and I can only modify Brightness and Contrast.

I do not need 144hz, I do not need thingies like G-Synch or anything, I hada PB278Q and it was perfect but I can only buy from amazon.it, and I can't believe that what was meant to be "superior" is so bad tr

It's not an IPS. IPS monitors usually have much better colors.

I wonder if it's faulty?

My Asus VG278HE 144Hz LightBoost monitor has a lovely picture and is also a 1080p TN screen.

If you're looking to replace it, while my model is pretty good, I think this newer one from Benq is better:

I know this reply maybe a bit late for you... if you are using a nVidia graphics card you prolly have the "digital vibrance bug".

Easy fix... launch nVidia control panel, change resolution and at the bottom of the settings dialogue page on the right be sure the "output dynamic range" is set to full.

Maybe not related but my desktop also has that washed out look, only on a 21" Sony Trinitron CRT. Idk if it's the drivers or what, but W10 colours are fine.

It's really noticeable in GTA V, W7 looks really faded in comparison to 10,.
