USB Keyboard and Mouse HELP

Hi

I have a small dell desktop which does not have any ps2 ports. When you log on it says new found hardware wizard and its the generic usb hub thats goingto install. My problem is until this is installed i acn get any usb mice or keyboards to intall and i cant install the generic hub as i need to click next.

any ideas

its a OptiPlex SX280 thats all i know spec wise

Best solutions is ti use a Dell - USB compatable Mouse and Keyboard.
IF no Dell Mouse/Keyboard; try any USB mouse & keyboard, most work some don't.

no the problem is the usb controller is not installed so i cant get any usb mouse/ keyboard to work...

will prob have to clone another dystem that is the same

You need to get into the Dell System file recovery partition. The easiest way is to call Dell support.
