Hi Guys,
So I got a sweet deal on an Inspiron n5110 (i7 2670QM,8gb mem, gt525m = $460) and I decided to follow this guide on upgrading to an SSD. Everything seemed to go as planned except that in the video you got access to the HDD right after removing the top of the case. Mine had it inverted with the back of the motherboard facing up and the hdd was under that.
I still managed to do it though, with the SSD installed and I used the restore USB that I created before hand (back to factory win7 install). Boots up quite fast now ~13s
Now my only gripe is that my Deathtaker mouse (shoutout to sneekypeet for the great deal btw ) recently started having a fit with the "Usb device power surge" notification popping up and the mouse not even lighting up. I checked with my older laptop and the mouse works with it. With the new laptop I tried connecting a different mouse, and a couple of external hdds just to check and they all worked without issues.
Any ideas on what to check?
