Hi all, I'm trying to run a dual graphics card setup on my Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 (rev. 1.0) with the BIOS F10.

In the 16x slot is a X1950XT and it works great no problems. I've just tired to add a X300 (I THINK its a Asus card) I have lying around so I can run my 2nd monitor off a completely separate card but the system won't see the card and I know the X300 works fine as I've tested it fine in another system.

    It's a 4x slot with a 16x connector, but I wondering if some card's won't work in a 4x slot or if I have a duff slot?

    Thanks, Rich

You need another x1950 to run dual cards.

Here is a chart that shows what cards can work for you.

But, Erocker is right, you can't use a X300 card for crossfire with that card...

Sorry, I didn't make it clear in my 1st post - but I'm not interested in crossfire, just using using the 2nd card for my 2nd monitor.

He does not want to CF these cards. He only wants to connect his second monitor to x300, but system can't see x300. ;)
Edit: heh, he was faster :)
