    what is your budget?

Xiggy S964-$25, best for value imo
Xiggy S1283-$39, best cooler for it's price, not the top dog but considered very efficient for avg-high oc's
Xiggy Thor's Hammer-$65, best out currently

i'd push to get the Xiggy S1283

EDIT: i'm assuming you want a better cooler to oc? if your not overclocking then there's no point for you to replace your stock cooler as the CPU will last for 10 years or more at stock settings

I've been using one for long man. Its a great cooler. For example, it totally dominates the Zalman CNPS9700. And I mean totally.

Meh, I always use Zalmans thermal pase, the one in the bottle. Has that nice brush in the lid.

I vote S1283, I have the S1284 but that is because i was looking intot he future. but eitherway the S1283 is a kick ass CPu cooler.

Make sure you have a through blt kit for it, as the S1283/1284's are really havey, and thus it is necessary IMO.

ALso grab either AS5 or MX-2 for tim. set that up and you should be good.

In the text window, klick on the glove with the paper clip thingy underneath it. A window pops up, and you paste the link in there and hit enter. Then you'll notice the link in the text window being highlited in blue. Just thype the title you want, and you're good.

The dark knight works on 1366 while the S1283 does not, however it does work on AMD and intel..

    darkknight - 775/1366/AMD
    1283 - 775/AMD

    http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm Has good reviews.

Edit: Are you talking about DanishDevil's?? Good guy, bought my CPU from him, you should jump for it.

The difference is the S1284 has one more heatpipe compared to the S1283. The extra one was designed for the NAthelem series of CPUs.

The new crossbow kit allows the 1283 to be mounted on 1366 sockets.

    Do it!

for paste, arctic freezer extreme is the best thermal paste, but MX-2 is what's available at newegg only slight differences but reviews online say the freezer extreme is better by 1-2celcius. either paste is great, freezer is just better :p (so high rite now :pimp::D)
