johndamon, Could you identify the VRM chip on your card? That would be helpful.
Machineghost7, I'm working on the VT1556 support. :)

sorry, the long weekend went a little longer than expected... ill figure out the VRM and upload presently

Hi.

I runned into a little problem.

I used the editor to increase my voltages to 1.3volt and the power control setting to +50.

Now the problem appears in 1 Game.
Final Fantasy XIV: The graphics card clocks only with 450 mhz.
I have to change in Catalyst the power controle to XY and back to +50 to get it use the 1150 clocks or higher.

Do i have to change the Powertune TDP from 156 stock to 195 (+25%) and get with Powertune extra 20% if needed?

Seems to work. Pls tell me if someone found a problem with these settings.

robby4: I can't find datasheet for that vrm.
Kyle Ragnador: sometimes you have to reset settings to make it work properly.

Cheers.

Cheers.

you're full of it, anyone can put in clocks and validate it or screenshot GPUz. It doesnt matter because the GPU will stay 2d clocks on desktop so put 1600/3000 for all i care and it still lets you validate it and it will say 1600/3000.

you guys are funny....he was obviously pulling your leg...

i could put my max up to 5000, it would still validate because its at idle.

be that as it may, i have the same card and same bios, and get that error as well....

hopefullty darkmhz can fix it...

Lol... you newbies are so easy to wind up...I don't recall ever mentioning my clock speeds buddy so how can I be full of it? Like TheMac said it was a joke. Obviously.

I came here looking to solve a problem and that's all, if you really want to see my benchmarks go to Guru3D and look at the 3DMark 13 thread. It's stickied at the top of the benchmark section and has my username beside it.

Now...on to business;

OK thx for reply, can u shed some light on why I could be getting that error?

So far I've tried 3 different .rom images without success (and yes I have .Net 4.5 installed). Cheers.

im trying to edit the bios from each card of my quad crossfire 7950. I have tested each card to find the stable voltage for 1000 core 1400 mem. After found the correct voltage i edit the bios and flashed all cards. The problem is that when crossfire with stock bios only powertune edited to +50 powerlimit the cards works really well in all games but with the cards crossfired with voltage edit bioses the performance drops significantly. The cards clocks does not stay at 1000 core frequency some stay in 500 or 350. When i apply the voltages and overclocking in Trixx for each card crossfire works like it was and stock except for the performance gain. So theres something happening when i edit the bios with this app that makes my crossfire weird. i have attached a zip file with all bios edited based on ASIC values.
its all same powercolor radeon 7950 HD4V BE

quejo: test it again with a bit higher perf. voltages (you set all to 950mV) and let me know if it helps (modify your original BIOSes!)
noisyboy261: unknown VRMs are still reported as unknown, but now you can select voltage from the BIOS voltage table.

Okay !! but i still cannot increase the voltage past 1.2. Is that the restriction given to my vrm ?
I guess sapphire used a cheap vrm in this card :(

Hi darkhmz
Thanks for your great editor. I have used it and increase sucessfully the voltage of my vbios Club3D HD7870 to 1.250v in order to stay stable at 1.2Ghz.
Before I can only OC to 1.1Ghz at 1.219v.
I still need your help for my bios. In fact its voltage can't be modified by AB or some other tools. So I can't increase any more the voltage by software in order to test the limit of OC.
I don't want to run the risk to increase the voltage higher in the vbios without testing.
Do you think it's possible to help to mod my vbios and make the voltage available and modifiable to 1.3v max like others manufacturer's vbios.
If it's possible to add this feature to the tool that will be great too.
Here is my vbios attached.

Thanks a lot!

No. Its because someone decided to put these values into the BIOS voltage table. :)

Sorry, I can't help you with that.

I edited my Sapphire HD7850 2GB original rom and tried to flash with atiflash with command atiflash -unlockrom 0 and atiflash -f -p 0 xxx.rom but after few seconds have error ROM not erased and the names like piticarin of new rom have empty values (original are properly listed)

I tried with atiwinflash and the same result :/
Hre is my original BIOS

What version of atiflash/atiwinflash are you using?

Yeah it's working now thanks. What did you do?

Thats really weird... I didnt modify the loader code, just added some debug info to help me fixing the bug because i could not reproduce it.
