My backup gaming computer for the kids is a gateway FX 6800-01e [specs: http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/gateway-fx6800-01e/4507-3118_7-33392302.html]
I upgraded the gateways vid from its stock Radeon HD 4850 to a HD 5770 some time ago but I'm looking to upgrade it one more time to a GTX 650ti boost. I then plan on building one more low budget gaming rig w/ the 5770. This will give us a total of 3 gaming systems, and yes I plan on taking my kids to the PvP woodshed if you know what i mean
My question is compatibility with the 650 ti boost and my older first gen i7 gateway. it has a 500w PSU but im sure its not high quality. also its vid slot is older but compatible.
1) will/should the 650 ti boost work w/ my fx6800?
2) any better vid upgrade suggestions other than the 650 ti boost?
