I am trying to transfer a bunch of video's over to my new netbook but because of space requirements I'm transcoding them to Mpeg4.

Currently this is using my quad core which does it fairly quickly but I'm certain my video card can do it faster...

Anyone know some software out there that will transcode my dvd vobs to something smaller and will use the power of my video card?

Looks like ATI has their own encode software, but it doesn't seem to be on their webpage..

    ***Found it***

Knock that idea... The program will not do a series of VOB files, only one at a time and doesn't seem to use my video card either... Reports 100% processor usage and only 6-8% GPU usage, which could easily be from all my open windows at the time....

More trash, time to buy Nvidia and re-install CS4 I guess.

    ati avivo xcoder

actually it kinda works, but uses cpu+gpu

i converted 700 mb divx or xvid files to x format in 5 minutes, that is faster
