I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good video joiner software (freeware). Preferably a program that supports MP4 or MKV. As of right now, I'm using Format Factory, but seems broken. The progress bar / percent indicator never moves, so I have no ideal if or when it will be done. I started joining two clips: Clip 1 39 MB-1:04, Clip 2 30 MB-:49; almost 28 minutes has elapsed and it's not completed.

This will give really insanely good video quality for the file size if you said it to high profile (or of course enable some of the good stuff manually)

Forgive my ignorance, but I don't see an option to join video files with Handbrake.

Gah, you're right! I was thinking of VirtuaDub which I also use.

You can join two clips (.mp4 or .mkv), and get a working video clip. The interface is...sparse, but it gets the job done.

It also does a lot more (split video/audio, mux audio/video/subs, etc...).

Do you want a video editor?

I'm looking for a program to join/merge two videos. I was able to get it working with Format Factory, but for some odd reason the video wouldn't load in Sony Vegas. The merged video plays just fine. It's not a big deal. I'll just remember not to shoot separate videos.

Windows movie maker will do that.

    GoFigureItOut says thanks.
