I had a thread around January about my video card giving me problems and i thought it was the card or heating issues, i RMA'ed the card and while it was at ati i used a geforce 6600 GT. Had no problems what so ever. I've gotten the radeon 9800 pro back from ati and I'm still having issues with it freezing randomly when ever i play high end games. What could be the source of this problem, i installed new fans and added a couple more. I checked the card when it froze up last time and it wasn't warm. I'm at a dead end. The drivers are up to date, reinstalled the latest drivers a couple days ago. It's not the card itself or other hardware thats giving me the issue. I'll give anything a try at this point, faulty wiring to anything really.... ill reinstall the drivers again and hope for the best but yea... any help will be appreciated.
Oh, My PC is an AMD Athlon 2.8. If you need more details just ask.

okay you used a nv 6600gt while the radeon was on rma?
did you use a driver cleaner before installing the 9800 pro? cause ati's and nv's drivers don't tend to get along.

but aside from that the 6600gt is faster than the 9800 pro, why not just stick with it?

also for an axp 9800 rug you'll need at least 18 amps on +12v rail of the psu to run properly. now a day any 50$ unit will be more than enough.
