Virus change reversal

I got some sort of virus on Tuesday. I ran a few virus scanners in safe mode and they caught about 14 different bugs/registry hacks so I think it's all quarantined. One of the changes the virus(es) did was that every file and folder is set as "hidden". Is there a registry setting I can change to fix this?

select everything with hidden folders enabled from the root of the hard drive - click properties and remove hidden from the atributes

mine might be a little diffrent to yours as i'm running windows vista but its the same principle

(yes, i know theres a lot of rubbish on my hard drive but its what i get for not reinstalling for years at a time)

no, my problem is steam, i need a new hard drive just to store all the games they've had on sale for the past year
