vista 7950 gx2 question

i can fix a problem in the vista no matter how hard i have tried there is no way to make vista identifies the 7950gx as 2 cards
no matter what i tried
install 2 times the drivers failure
nvidia control panel dual gpu failure
installing kb936710 hotfix failure
pray to god failure


any one else have the 7950 gx2 in vista?



the rig asus p5n32-sli se deluxe
c2d 6400 @2300mhz
2 gigs ddr 667 mem
evga 7950 gx2 1 gb mem


p.s. in xp is perfect everything works fine

i sold my 7950gx2 but i had lot of problems in vista too when i play games only one card was being used giving much lower fps but i thinks vista did detect them both i saw two gpus in device manager when i tried enables multigpu mode screen always went blank i would of thought nvidia fixed this problem by now with latest drivers?

it does show them both on device manager but in games and in 3dmark shows only 1 !



isn't drivers i think its vista
although in might be drivers the version is 162.22

in the drivers is multi gpu selected for me by default when i installed nvidia drivers it was always off whenever i enabled it screen stayed blank and had to log on in safemode in order to see anything but if its enabled and works im sure the performance should get better and 3dmark might detect 2

are games running badly too?

Probably doesn't work yet. :laugh:

Vista hasn't exactly had a great history with SLI/Xfire atm.

sad but true vista isn't sli ready and hot fix isn't help in gx2 card damn games run smooth enough but its like 1 card in games
