As most of you probably know GURU3D has recently updated its layout after what must of been longer then a decade because I think I joined there in 2005/06 and shit still looked the same until last week...

I know that changing the way TPU looks has been a heavily debated subject in the past which usually resulted in the 'if it aint broke, dont fix it' approach to the matter.

One thing i do admit though is that Guru3D's new look does look pretty amazing.

TPU on the other hand has a straightforward, no frills and down to business look which makes it easy to navigate and such which is GREAT. but at the same time it just looks so dated.

I know it takes a lot of blood sweat and tears to re-jig everything to make things look faaabulousssss but a new and improved look could grab more members for TPU as its more eye catching.

If you want monthly donations to fund the site or certain features of the site then im sure there are a lot of members here at TPU who would be more then happy to donate. if my money goes towards improving the site then I well come it.

Youre probably against the idea of taking donations anyway. but It would be nice to have a more glammed up TPU!! :rockout::rockout::rockout:

I'm open to a new design, but no idea where to get it from.

Awesome designers, apply. Yes I got $$$ for you

Not gonna use something new just for the sake of changing something.

Are you talking about the main site or the forums? Because the main site got a facelift not long ago and look great imo. The forums could use some changes. For one, ban images in sigs!
    Completely Bonkers says thanks.

Oh god no. I mean it doesn't apply to me really (because I have avatars turned off) but it's a slippery slope to damnation.

Well since the forums is Vbulletin then all we really need is a skin change. I have been on other Vbulletin forums that allow you to use a list of skins in the CP but if W1Z wanted to we could have one set custom skin if someone with Vbulletin knowledge would like to build it with TPUer insight?

Is it just me or does the new Guru3D design look a bit like the TPU layout?

Yeah Guru3D is my "other" Tech forum. Their front page face lift looks great. The Old one really was a really messy page to navigate so it needed to be updated anyway.

Where are those pics from "The Way Back Machine"? TPU has been freshened up over the years. Layout wise it's certainly easy to navigate and get the "news" so I don't think it's need anything drastic.

Some new curtains for the windows and a fresh coat of paint on the wall nothing that involves knocking down a wall to make room for a Pool Table

I don't mind the forum layout; clean & straightforward IMO :pimp:

Animated avvys are a waste IMO, even though I have a couple I'd like to use... I think it would slow things down and make too much confusion

I think thats illegal in most countries

    @wiz
I think it depends on how many $$$ you got and how many designs you want.
Mind though, other companies charge for every single design made
and not in X designs paying for a single one.

EDIT: i would suggest hardware "giveaways" instead of money.

I agree with das.dude and I definitely can walk and chew gum at the same time (I don't see the point of your post MM). My mind is open to changes though.

I already said I was fine with the layout. Honestly I wouldn't want it to change. But like I told W1zz some people just like to switch it up for one reason or another. Personally, I wouldn't mess with it........I guess I agree with das.dude also. However I still wonder if he can chew gum and walk.

I just offered my services to make sure we didn't go full blown retard on the layout.
    Chevalr1c says thanks.
