As if Games Workshop hadn't capitalised on the Warhammer franchise enough recently, Focus Home Interactive will be publishing an addition to the Space Hulk series, with developers Cyanide (Styx, Bloodbowl, Of Orc and Men) and Streum On (E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy) will be heading up this development. Space Hulk - Deathwing [Official Site] will be an FPS RPG, largely different to the first Space Hulk game, where the player takes control of a small order of Space Marines, stomping around dark and grim spaceships, terminating genestealers and Tyranids of similar ilk.
No gameplay videos have been shown, and all we're given is an extremely well touched up video trialer and some screenshots of in engine (presumable cutscene) scenes. Streum On will be taking the flag for this one, with Cyanide operating as support. The first Space Hulk game was not received so well, but fans are quietly hopeful about some fresh ideas from a developer that has some good experience with PC titles. Most of GW's IP cash-in's have been less than stellar affairs, but with recent months seeing almost half a dozen new franchises gaining traction, Warhammer, both original and 40K, might gain their reputation back since THQ's fall.
This is all Unreal Engine 4 too.
