I am looking for a Western Digital 1 tb or larger HDD for my HTPC. Right now I have a 1tb Western Digital black in there and it is just to loud for my taste. It works great and is super fast but I would prefer something that is quieter and uses less energy. So I would be willing to do a straight across trade, my 1tb black for your 1tb+ green ( i would be willing to throw in a little cash for like a 1.5tb).
Now there is one catch when installing the 1tb black I got a little to carried away with cable management and snapped the plastic part on the drive's sata header by accident (the metal pins were fine). However i was able to salvage the drive by adding solder to thicken the pins so they would make contact with a sata cable and then I hot glued the sata cable on. So it is in 100% working order, I have ran it like this for months. Im currently typing from the OS installed on this drive.
So if you would like to trade or have a 1tb WD you would be willing to sell please let me know.

Thanks
