I got this weird sound coming out of my cheap speakers every once in a while.
it has nothing to do with computer hardware because there are no such sounds from my headset and the noise continue to appear even when speakers are not connected to computer.

We also had speakers on a ceiling at school and i heard the same noise coming from them.

I think this is it, but not sure:

"If it is a true 60hz tone you likely have what is commonly known as a ground loop.
The hum is produced by small currents flowing through the shields of the unbalanced analog cable toward the input of the recording device. The best (and safe) solution is to make sure all your equipment grounds terminate at the same point. Easier said than done.
Other sources of hum/buzz are anything that creates strong magnetic fields:
CRTs, PSUs, electric motors, certain types of lighting, etc. Always keep low-level cables away from these sources. If you have to cross low-level signal cables, and power cables make sure you cross at right angles. Don't run parallel.

Yea, cheap speakers will do that. I had a 2.1 set of speakers that liked to play the radio, and the only way to make them shut up was to unplug them. I'm not entirely sure what causes it, but I know the wiring of the speakers can act as an antenna when amplified. If the speakers are nice and shielded, then you shouldn't have much of any problem. On cheap sets, yea... it'll get ya. I've upgraded to a nice set of 5.1 Logitech speakers, and the difference is like night and day.

Often coursed by other electrical goods being close but all so can be coursed by a bad earth. Another course i can think of is a Amplifier situation were multiple devices though like phono plugs interfere with each other well there circuitry.

    Cheap Amp maybe ?

You'll also hear a strange patterned sound coming from your speakers if you have your cellphone nearby when you receive a call.

my cellphone is always right near the speakers

EDIT: OMG!!! I tried to call and placed the phone right near the speakers cable, when phone started calling the noise got so loud and obvious!
so I guess no more cellphones near the speakers because that noise is so annoying!

So does moving the cell phone away fix it? It'll be pretty hilarious if that was the problem.
