Oh well our micro is a super micro too. It only takes like a minute to cook a hotpocket. Mmm got a free coffee pot too from Dave and Busters. :)

It just wasn't what i expected it to be, half the time i couldn't see the damn creatures, i spent the majority of my time walking through poorly textured halls. It took forever to get into a match and when i finally did it looked visually subpar as i mentioned then what i was expecting.(and this is on very high), i'd pick it up for probably $30, but anything higher is a ripoff.

A lot of people have been reporting crashes on top of that.

Then again this was only a piece, we only got to play deathmatch. So i hope and pray that the other modes engage you more and really show what AVP is all about. Cause this is very subpar from what i was expecting.

Game was created for DX11. I wouldnt expect visual quality to be that great without it.

that has zero to do with it. its not like if he didnt have a DX11 card it would default to DX6. It should look halfway decent ESPECIALLY if it was made or DX11

demos often have low quality textures and such ship with them to save download size. Thats my guess.

I dont find that often at all. While it may be true I dont think its the case for a game like this. I see companys offering far less "content" in demos now to reduce DL size and in a market were everyone with a system powerfull enough to run the games to spec they make sure it has enough pop to wow us.

BC2 does it. caps the textures at medium.

This game seems to cap it at DX9, and have some sort of graphics quality issues as well... but thats based on one report (could be driver related too, for example)

and thats not doubted. Games that are DX10 default to DX when a compliant card isnt detected. But DX9 doesnt look that bad. im just saying its rediculous to assume a game looks like shit when a compliant DX vid card isnt present. Thats ignorant dont you think? Sorry i know ur a mod u cant really get that involved. maybe im just in a bad mood tonight idk

well, it may well be a special case with the demo. Maybe its designed for DX10 and 11, and without them the DEMO (not the full game, the demo) looks like arse

Thats what i was getting at. Besides its not like this is the difference between 9 and 10. 11 with all features utilized should look quite nice compared to 9 and 10. If it defaults to 9 on a 10 card id expect the game to look bad.

OR this game is just like Doom3. All hype but the shadows try to cover up the shitty textures. Im not for or not for the game, im just putting out some options here.
