With all the new tech out now, and with more to come this year, it's an exciting time for powerful builds. What are your dream PC specs.

It's not more interesting than it has been. Go back to 2000 and people were just as excited as people are now. Or any other year.

All in all I think these questions are sort of pointless.

A car that drives me to work while I game in the car. And it must have an inertia dampener so I don't get disturbed during acceleration or taking turns.

One that turns into a bucket of fried chicken, beer and a over developed Goth stripper and prints money when I'm done playing Battlefield 4.

Maybe pointless to you but to me it's not. I thought last year was a bit dull. But this year with the new Intel Xeons and duel CPU boards and Nividia's Titan which I hope will give AMD a nudge. Also there is a lot of fast ram out now prices are coming down a bit.

Also I want to see what people think is the best kit out there. 2 years ago I had my dream build but now it needs an upgrade. A 6970, I7 2700k, Rog board and a couple of good SSD's just isn't exactly a dream machine any more. Glad to see some people are happy with theirs. I was hoping to see a list of great gear.

Show me a game that would justify anything more than what you just listed.

    +1

I have a Phenom II X6 1100T, DFI LanParty 790FXB-M3H5 and a HD 5870. I wish it was an 890FX board and a 7970 all on water, but other than that, I'm pretty happy with what I have.

Not that I would turn down a quad-socket, Opteron 6380 powered, water cooled, 7990-loaded workstation.

I don't know yet, I haven't read the reviews yet. I don't even know how much it costs. If it is stupidly priced then I hope it's stupidly good, I won't buy it if the price leap doesn't come close to the performance leap. I'm quite interested in the 7970ghz edition.
