    My top 10 games:

    #1: Mass Effect 2 (2010).
#2: Star Wars: TIE Fighter (1994).
    #3: X-COM: Terror From The Deep (1995)
#4: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (2003).
    #5: Mass Effect (2007).
#6: Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn (2000).
    #7: Neverwinter Nights (2002).
    #8: Strike Commander (1993).
    #9: Star Control 2: The Ur-Quan Masters (1992).
    #10: Jagged Alliance 2 (1999).

I think it is saying a lot that on my top 10 list, half of the games are dated before 2000. We might not have had graphics back then, but boy did we have gameplay and storyline. Today we tend to get clones of the same game types. FPS is distilling this to the point of ridicule.

It is also saying a lot that out of the top 7 games on this list, five are Bioware titles. Bioware is truly unmatched in telling a story.

I have to agree on that one. Most f games these days are all bling but complete rubbish from gameplay point of view.

Half-Life 2 because of the tech(in its time), the mods, the story and the crowbar.
Crysis because of the story, the Nomad, the Nanosuit, the graphics
Max Payne because of the story, the graphic novel, the gameplay, the mods, the graphics(in its time)
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas(its better than GTA IV in fun factor) because of the fun factor and the replayability
Elder Scrolls IV because of everything.

    not in particular order.

PS. looks like top pics are Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare 2, Crysis and Half-Life 2... FPS UNITE!!! haha

can you send me the link of portal.

For me, my top 5 goes like this:

    1. Runescape (lost a few years of my life to this game)

    2. Counter Strike: Source

    3. Portal

    4. Half Life 2

    5. Crysis

In no particular order, of course. All equal pegging but RS is my main played game, hence why Im investing in a low power netbook to play it on, rather than my main rig with its power hungry layout. A 260 is not needed to run a java game haha.

It isn't popular to object other people's opinions in these kind of threads but this has to be only one in universe I just have to dare.
