psu, replace it with a fortron of epower unit(epower has some nice units with 20+20amps on the 12v rails) both companys are top notch.

psu is like the hart of your system if it goes your brain can be destroyed(cpu/mobo/ram)

I haven't had a crossfire system(YET), I need to read into this. I kick myself for not knowing 100%, but from what I have been told you can not run 2 displays at once while running crossfire.

We did some experimenting with the Radeon X1950 Pro while running in a CrossFire configuration and found that it behaved much like previous CrossFire-enabled systems. Users still have to connect their monitors to the card in the primary graphics slot on the motherboard, and the benefits of the AVIVO engine can only be enjoyed when CrossFire is disabled -- although we're told this will be changing in a future driver release. Unlike older CrossFire configurations, however, videos and DVDs can be played back with CrossFire enabled. They just don't get enhanced by AVIVO. Another side benefit of Native CrossFire support is that users can now run four independent displays when CrossFire is disabled, because the DVI port previously consumed by the dongle has been freed up.

So I guess if you turn off crossfire in cat the 2ed or other display will pop up.

um yes you can, x1900 cards use dual link dvi ports, you just need the spliter and you can run 2 monotors off 1 port, unless ur monotors dual link, and those are RARE AS HELL

I think you should get a bigger psu that will last you years, over time they lose power and I think you will be running it fairly high with crossfire 1950 xtx, my 420 enermax is probably stable still but the fans are making more noise than when I first got it with my 1900gt 6-8 months ago.

I dont plan on crossfire so my 600watt gamestream psu will be good enough for me to use with a new gpu (I hope) and overclocking my computer sometime after I get it.

I may be wrong cause I'm a noob, but yeah the psu is the heart of your system if it goes out while its on it will more than likely wipe out other stuff.

NO not that, while your running in one of the 4 crossfire modes(2 cards), you can only view one display.(I think)

The casing is good to go. So far your computer seems high-end except the processor. Good if you could buy a X2 AMD processor with 1MBX1MB cache. And for the crossfire thingy, i guess it would be good if a crossfire user reply to this post.

Sounds good! I researched the PSU and it seems like it'll have enough juice to feed the 1950's. I am not going to run dual monitors just one 17in LCD that I currently have!

The CPU, yes I will upgrade that I am thinking. New egg has a deal for a FX-55 for 199.00 so I am not sure. Either that or an X2 processor!

Some things Dual cores do better, I myself would go with a single core. At least for now, the games I play don't like dual core, the FX-55 would scream on every game, and it wouldn't have any of the dual core problems/ They are releasing dual core games, but you can count them on about one hand.

The only games I play are CS:S and I am just getting into BF2142. I play CS:S "competetively" as you would say and attend lans and what not.
