hi im new, i don't know much about graphic cards, i had a 9400gt, and yes i know that graphic is bad ,but really have good things and can run games like sonic generations with the settings in medium at 20-30 fps and a lot of games like mirrors edge all in high at good fps speed.

my old 9400gt it's dead because the little fan that reduce temperature stuck, and the heat damaged the card.

Now i have a 7300LE and is too bad for games technically this card can't run anything in 1360x768 or with settings in med or high. all in window in low settings

i wanna know what graphics cards (nvidia) i can buy and don't will have an imbalance in my pc.

the specifications of my pc :
motherboard: http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=motherboard&U=en-us0000412
processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
RAM: 2gb
Windows 7 ultimate 32 bits
power supply: 400W
VGA port
i play games at 1360x768 and i like put the games in high settings. but i can to lower them more for increase fps speed.
thanks for all and sorry if i have grammatical errors, i don't speak much english

your system is pretty dated, so put in a new gpu will give you cpu bottleneck.

but anyway, you must give us a budget and also the specification of your power supply.

as now I'll suggest you an AMD R7 260 (those versions with GDDR5) it's quite frugal with the power consumption and it has the power to drive 1366x768 on all games at high settings.

again, it'll be good if you can suggest a budget

A budget and a link to where you buy from will be helpful for advice.

Does your mother board support pci express? If it has an Nforce chipset youd be hard pressed to find good drivers for it too

GTX750 non Ti? Trades blows with the R7 260x, while consuming a lot less power. No need for external power connection. Gets all the power it needs from the PCIe slot.

If you click the link for his board is says this for PCIe specs

1* PCIe x16, 1* PCIe x1, 2* PCI

So he does have a PCIe x16 slot.

Yeah, have fun with that bottleneck. Good recommendation bro.............not.

The OP asked what he could get for his current system for the amount of money he has to spend. I do not believe a whole new system is in his interest right now.

750 with GDDR5 mem(pref 2GB, but 1GB is ok) seems to be the winner imho. Low poweruse, which is a very good idea with these OEM PSU's, its an Nvidia which he prefers, forward looking architecture making it future proof and good performance for his budget and the rest of his system.

There's no such thing as "OEM PSU". His PSU is garbage and he needs to replace it.

i like the 750 non ti, but the system will not have a bottleneck? in another web sites and forums only tell me: "your system is bad, if you don't update it, you only can have a 440 or 620 at most"
i am really glad here and finally i found a forum with good people , thanks for the help

They are partially right. Your system will work perfectly fine with the 750. However it might not be able to use it to 100% of its capabilities because your CPU is a bit dated and might not be able to feed the GPU with enough data.
I would suggest you buy the 750 now and start saving for some new components later on.
It might be a good idea to start with a new PSU after you buy the GPU because the PSUs that come with pre-built systems are notorious for killing hardware once stressed above their limits. Then maybe you might consider getting some 2nd hand CPU/MOBO and memory.

That's not an option. I think MxPhenom216 already went over this with you.

OP. Go for the 750. You'll be fine.

He doesn't know how to read I guess, or he's just trolling. Probably both.

Depends on what GPU he decides to get. if he gets the GTX750 non TI that would not require a new PSU.

Again, in any case, he needs a new PSU period. His PSU is crap and he can't depend on it.

Again, his PSU is fine now. OP didn't say he has $120 plus more money for a PSU. The suggestion for 750 non-Ti is a perfect answer for 1) what he needs right now (which is a graphics card), and 2) within the ability of his current power needs.

I agree, down the road, he should upgrade his whole system, including PSU. But right now OP has $120 and no real GPU to speak of.

The GTX 750 non Ti is the best advice imo. It will be a very good performance upgrade over that 9400 GT that you used to have.

Other possibility is to try to sell that system and buy a used Dell locally, might be able to swing something with a Core i3 or better.

GTX 750 non Ti is the best he can afford without changing the PSU.

My concern is that would his board support it.
I use to own an Intel board(old Pentium series with PCIE 1gen) that ran 8400GS and 9400GT 1GB DDR2 perfectly but couldn't run 9500GT or 9600GT.
