I am curious if there will be a new one or is the series dead?
Had to google it, sounds sort of interesting.
Not all games are made in series.
According to Wikipedia it had a mixed reception and had graphical issues. Doesn't look it sold many copies either. I wouldn't be surprised if a sequel was not made.
its dead almost definitely since this is Square we are talking about. I personally did not like what they did porting it to pc and giving the every boss and many enemy's double sometimes triple the hp vs the console version not to mention the fact that the game was kinda boring, it is sad we don't see many jrpgs on pc though.
I personally enjoyed this game finished it on both modes.Game sure had it flaws but it was playable.Unfortunately there wount be a sequel, despite the ending that was promising by some means with some hint for sequel.
Stranger things have happened,
Remember Dreamfall:The Longest Journey made by a studio called Funcom back in 2006? They're coming out with a sequel for it which will be released in 2014.
Its taken 8 years and plans for the sequel totally disappeared off the radar, everyone knew a sequel was in the works but they just didn't know when or if it even really existed.
And the first game was released in 1999.
Also Beyond Good and Evil, which they actually are developing it seems.
I enjoyed the last remnant and it didn't have any graphical issues for me
Also the game was 100% playable, don't know why people hate it so much
Even IGN reviewers commented really bad for the game
I don't know if these people get payed to talk bad
Games which are made from scratch, like writting your own game engine with C++,
take many years to complete
What is really disappointing here, is that they didn't spend years in writting the engine,
they just use an engine and in a year the game is completed
That's the reason most people go to respected reviewers instead of IGN.
I got The Last Remnant free in a pack of some kind, I recall playing it for 10 minutes before playing something else.
Apart from what RCoon said, we also have different tastes.
