Yep, should work fine no problem. I was running 2DPC @ up to 2800 MHz with no problems, other than needing manual timing adjustments. 2400 MHz is pretty much a piece of cake though...it's above that that things become more difficult. The linked sticks are single-sided, making it a lighter load on the memory controller. That said though, you should really buy a kit of 4 sticks in such scenarios.
