When ever PALiT gets their non-reference cards out then they will be. But now there are only reference cards.

They dont have them out yet. A palit rep here said mid august is when we should start seeing non-reference cards.

There is nothing out yet that is different from any other 4870. They all use the same pcb's and coolers.

Exactly, the ref stuff is generally all the same. The only differences are that some manufacturers may use lesser quality memory (maybe saving the good stuff for the R700 or their non-ref cards - it is expensive you know), or less binned GPUs. As long as they reach the reference clock speeds that's all they need, that's counted as reference.

I've got a powercolor because I've had very good experiences with them in the past

There should be some non-reference 4800's out by the end of this month to mid August.

Look out for these brands: HIS, Palit, and Sapphire. They tend to release very good non-reference cards.

rest have 1 year or more
sapphire got diffrent bundle like that includes PowerDVD, 3dmark etc

my moto is take the cheapest 4870, why? same reference card from amd in all packages
