Rumor has it, it uses the same panel as some of Dell's (Ultrasharp U2410) & HP's (LP2475w) higher end range of monitors around the £400+ mark.

Sorry, but the 1inch size difference would disagree with that statement. The dell and HP are H-IPS.

I used a 24inch PVA for years until one of the caps blew. Now use a IPS display. Was rough getting used to non awesome blacks.

As for 8-bit TN panels. That was just a rumor. I havent seen one that actually exists yet. Until I see otherwise, all TN film displays are 6bit + dithering.

Samsung 24" 16:9 TN bought it in April 2010 with 3 years warranty for $225 works great nothing to complain about so far...:)
