ozzman we share something in common, I also built my first pc specifically for BF2.
AMD Sempron 2600 @ 1.8ghz
512MB DDR
Radeon 9550
Some asrock motherboard that I can't remember the name of.
Dude, I remember when that game came out and going to "Zero Hour" (a Traverse City PC Gaming Lounge) and paying $5 an hour to be able to play BF2. A couple months later I graduated high school and realized I was one of those geeky kids who spent all my time and money there, so with my first paycheck (pretty beefy, I worked 72 hours my first week) from my first full-time job (worked graveyard shift at a factory making sunroof rings for Hummers and Cadillacs) I talked to my uncle about building a new PC specifically for BF2.
Prior to that machine my PC was a powerhouse AMD K6-2 450mhz (which I had somehow got to 800mhz once playing with the mobo switches) on an IBM Aptiva board with 256MB of RAM and an onboard SiS 530 graphics chip.
I have always been fairly into PCs and tweaking them, but if it wasn't for BF2 I would have never got full-blown into PC gaming again and I would probably still have that crappy IBM PC
