    It's going onto an Asus Maximus motherboard, and I want a copper heatsink to match.

    Choices are:

    Zalman 9700 (copper) bigger, cools better
    Zalman 9500 (copper) smaller, easier to install/remove
    Asus Silent Knight II matches the motherboard, looks nice.

    my vote goes to the Zalman 9700...
    and I also did lazy Erocker's work of posting pics of the coolers for comparison purposes...

    of those choices id also have to say the 9700. proven results/reliability

    i have the The Silent Knight II and my temps are 26-29 idl and 38-44 during gaming you should defently get it

    I'll make it fit, even if it requires cutting, I don't care anymore. I'm just glad it doesn't use God-forsaken push-pins.

    I believe it will work. I don't think you will have problems. Maybe with the ASUS one, but not that one...
