Hi, I am about to build my friend a conroe system and I am wondering if anywone mite kno which is the best stable/ocable motherboard for an E6600. The system consists of these(any suggestions appreciated):::
1. Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
2. Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6
3. x2 G.Skill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ
4. Evga 7950GX2
5. x2 WD 500g SATAII 16m on RAID 0
6. OCZ ModStream 620w

8. Custom TEC water cool

P.S. the evga is because of the step up program till DX10, and the mobo currently has the highest 965 oc, I think beter than the Intel 975BX

From my linked page:
There are reports that modding the ASUS to reach 1.9V MCH allows FSB overclocks to almost 500 instead of the current limit of around 440 to 450 FSB.

But otherwise, your Gigabyte is an awesome deal out of the box! 100$ less than the ASUS? I'm in!

DQ6-c2???

Holy crap the DS2-c2 does 487 STOCK:eek: ?!?!? that'lll maky my E6600 squeal at 4383!!!. ok few things: I don't think I'm up for modding a $300 mobo, if the DS3-c1 barely made it to 330, and the DQ6 made it to 360-c1, wouldnt it be logical that the DQ6-c2 will oc even further?? and guys, remember money is not really an issue here, I want a mobo that can oc fastes.....period

hm okay :D
the best ocer at all is the new ati chipset
but no reviews are out there
every 965 and 975 board does a 333mgh fsb at stock everything above is good

the dfi shows quiet good oc things
and the most conroe oc wrs where made on the intel bad axe

my choice would be a 965 board probably by gigabyte
