Just because it isn't listed as a supported chip doesn't mean it won't work. Those supprted lists aren't updated on a regular basis.
Let me know when insulting people actually gets you somewhere.
Ok, Abit boards are the one exception, sorry forgot to mention that. But AFAIK, no other 680i board support 45nm quads.
And we aren't talking about simply not updating the list, if you read you'll see the list specifically says they aren't supported, I even put that part in bold for you. His board will not support a 45nm quad, end of discussion.
Yes, it really pisses me off when someone give inaccurate advice that might lead to someone wasting large sums of money. I know it doesn't matter to you, since mommy and daddy probably pay for everything for you and you have not concept of money, but for some of us $500 is a lot to waste away. One would think that if you are going to give advice when large sums of money are involved, you would make sure you actually know what you are talking about, and the fact that you are "correcting" someone else would mean you should really really really make sure...
If you don't want to be insulted, don't insult others. It is insulting to "correct" someone by posting inaccurate information.
Now we are done, I'm not arguing with you anymore. His board doesn't support the processor, discussion over.
